21 people illegally residing in Belgium were questioned on Tuesday during a security operation on public transport in Schaerbeek. A total of 84 people were ID-checked and 28 questioned, reported the Northern police zone (Schaerbeek, Evere, Saint-Josse-ten-Noode) on Wednesday.
People were checked at the Botanique, Thomas, Liedts and Verboeckhoven stations between 4:00pm and 9:30pm, and in addition to the 21 people ID-checked, three others were stopped for drugs-related offenses. Four administrative arrests were made.
