The public prosecutor’s office requested a 15-year prison sentence for Fouad Belkacem at the Court of Appeals in Antwerp on Wednesday. The federal prosecutor was thus pleading for a longer sentence than the 12 years’ imprisonment given to the founder and leader of Sharia4Belgium in the lower court. Longer sentences were also requested for the three other defendants who had appealed.
