Terrorist Lors Doukaev may be sentenced to 2 additional years

The federal prosecutor requested a sentence of 18 months to 2 years in prison against the Chechen-born Liège resident Lors Doukaev at the criminal court in Liège on Friday. Doukaev was already sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment in Denmark in 2011, following a failed attack initially aimed against Danish daily Jyllands-Poste which had published the Mohammed cartoons in 2005.

Lors Doukaev prepared the attack in Denmark from Belgium. With this aim, and using forged identity documents, he engaged in forgery and handling as well as using false identities. His partner in Liège was also charged and risks a 12-month suspended prison sentence.
