A naked man drives at police in Louvain

A man who was running naked in the centre of Louvain, got into a car and drove at a police officer who was trying to get him to stop. The inspector just avoided being hit, local Louvain police said on Sunday.

A police team spotted a naked man running on the road while performing an operation in Brusselsestraat in Louvain at 8am. The individual was walking in the middle of the road and then got into a car. One of the inspectors told the driver to stop. The man ignored the order and drove at the inspector.

The man was intercepted at Tervuursevest. The driver, a 29 year old from Trooz in the Liège Province, tested positive for drugs. He got a fine for disobeying police and public indecency.

The Louvain Prosecutor’s office decided to charge him immediately.
