A man aged 46 took his own life at the end of the afternoon on Monday at the Nivelles prison, stated the Walloon Prosecutor’s Office of Brabant Tuesday, confirming information which appeared in several media sources. The man in his forties was alone in his cell when he killed himself by hanging, late afternoon Monday. Shortly prior to this he had persuaded his two cellmates to go to mass.
The man was awaiting a deliberation in the ambit of a case file belonging to the Criminal Court of Brussels.
