On Thursday, the House approved an Open Vld bill that will allow police services to access the unpaid road fines database and, if necessary, demand immediate collection. Smart cameras are used to detect those who default on the payment of fines.
Customs conducted a successful pilot project. In six weeks, it apprehended 179 offenders for a total amount of 103,000 euros.
