Brussels-Ixelles police area: 2,895 fines for failure to respect private spaces

In the context of road safety operations, the Brussels-Ixelles police area issued 2,895 fines for non-respect of public vehicle spaces last April, the Brussels public prosecutor said on Tuesday. During the same period, motorcycle police issued 2,024 fines to motorists whose behavior jeopardized the safety of other road users. They issued 264 fines for people traveling, stopping or parking on bicycle paths, 70 for parking on sidewalks, 50 for parking on, or less than 3 to 5 meters from, pedestrian crossings and 1.640 for offences related to rules specific to pedestrian zones.
