Police issue a wanted persons notice after the Anderlues shooting

The police issued a wanted persons notice on Friday evening, after shots were fired towards the entrance to the Start Up Club in Anderlues. The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning. Two individuals fired 15 shots at the club door at around 7.50am. The shots came from the direction of Chaussée de Mons.

“The door, which is supposed to be reinforced, couldn’t stop the 308 calibre bullets. 35 people were still inside the club at the time, so it’s lucky no-one was killed”, the police said.

The masked shooter and their accomplice were “traveling in a dark grey Audi RS4, one of the 2006 to 2012 models. It had aluminium wing-mirrors and tinted rear windows”. They were carrying their guns in plastic Trafic carrier bags. After the shots were fired, the suspects fled towards Fontaine-l’Evêque and Charleroi. The police have asked for any witnesses to come forward, but are mainly interested in any arguments that took place in the club that night.
