A suspect in an Antwerp murder arrested in Portugal

Portuguese police have arrested a 51 year old man in Almada. Portuguese media says he is suspected of committing a murder in Antwerp and a European warrant for his arrest had been issued. The Antwerp Prosecutor’s office was not able to confirm the information immediately on Saturday evening.
Three men were arrested. Two of them were arrested for staying in the country illegally. There was a European arrest warrant for a 51 year old man, which had been issued by Belgian authorities according to the Noticias newspaper website.
The Lisbon courts will decide whether to hand him over to Belgian authorities.
