The two passengers of the vehicle in which weapons were discovered Friday, in the center of Liege, have been arrested, indicated the police zone in the evening. At 9 pm, they were still being interviewed. The weapons were discovered during a traffic control on Georges Clémenceau St. Even if they were found to have been demilitarized, and so harmless, the police forces proceeded to the arrest of the vehicle’s two passengers.
As for the security zone that had been put in place previously by the agents, it was removed at 8.26 pm. The streets around the Opera are therefore once more accessible to traffic.
