Accomplices of robber killed in Comblain-au-Pont arrested

Four suspects were arrested in Comblain-au-Pont on Saturday. They were apprehended during house searches conducted as part of the investigation into a robbery at a service-station. Mohamed Soujae, 19, was mortally wounded by the station’s manager during the incident. La Dernière Heure has revealed that the car used in the robbery has also been found by investigators.

Federal judicial police simultaneously searched several houses in Seraing and Liège on Saturday morning. They were looking to intercept the suspected accomplices of Mohamed Soujae, a 19-year-old robber who was killed while he was leaving Dominique Castronovo’s service-station in Comblain-au-Pont with his friends.

At 4am on the 4th of October, 4 masked individuals tried to rob a Total service-station on rue Poulseur in Comblain-au-Pont. The manager was sleeping upstairs at the time of the incident, but started to chase the robbers off before picking up his gun. He then fired several shots at the get-away car as they fled. The Liège Prosecutor’s office says one of the robbers was struck by a bullet and died of his injuries. His accomplices left his body in rue Émilie Vandervelde.
