A judge in Hasselt on Sunday ordered the arrest of two persons for the murder of a man in his eighties, the Office of the Public Prosecutor (OPP) in Limburg announced on Monday. The two are the victim’s daughter and son-in-law.
Reports surfaced on Saturday that a man had been found dead at his home in Heppen. Considering the death suspicious, the OPP opened a murder investigation. A forensic team sent to the home concluded that he had died a violent death.
The man’s daughter and son-in-law, who lived under the same roof, were placed under arrest on Saturday.
