A woman killed her child Wednesday night in Bree, in the Limburg, before attempting suicide. The local police who went to the site informed the prosecutor, who opened an investigation.
A forensic physician was also sent to the scene. The specific circumstances have yet to be established.
In the interest of the investigation and to protect the family, the prosecution did not disclose anything more on Wednesday.
