Youth for Climate members are organizing a worldwide strike on Friday 15 March to demand better climate policies. The event has been dubbed “Global Strike for Future.” The invitation to participate is published on Facebook.
Pupils and students have marched on four consecutive Thursdays, most of them skipping classes, to demand climate protection political measures.
“Climatologists say that even a rise in temperatures by two degrees will cause famines, droughts, floods, tornadoes, wars and extinction. And this only because today’s adults do not care about tomorrow. They are stealing our future before our eyes,” Youth for Climate publishes on the Facebook page announcing the event.
Young people ask everyone to join the strike to ask authorities to show proofs of their ambition to maintain the temperature increase short of two degrees.
The Facebook event presents Brussels as the rallying point. The organizers were not available Wednesday afternoon to give further details.
