The Dexia group recorded a recurrent net loss of 248 million euros last year, which is 421 million euros less than the 669 million euros loss it made in 2013. This information was released with the publication of the annual figures by the residual bank on Thursday. The loss is smaller than the 440 million euros the group was expecting for last year. “The figures published by Dexia in 2014 confirm a continued improvement in its recurrent performance, which was notably helped by a reduction in refinancing costs. The small cost of taking risks shows the high quality of the credit from the shareholder s”, says the administrative delegate Karel De Boeck.
During 2014, the Dexia group published net figures of -606 million euros, compared to a net loss of -1,08 billion euros the year before.
