The Belgian companies Greenyard foods, Univeg and Peatinvest have signed a declaration of intent concerning their merger. The operation will form a world leader in fruit and veg. It should be finished by the summer, Greenyard foods said in a press release. At the start of March, the three companies had said they were interested in a merger. Univeg and Peatinvest will become part of Greenyard foods, which will release 25.5 million extra shares, and become the group’s umbrella company.
