Coca-Cola has bought back the 54.5% of shares owned by AB Inbev in Coca-Cola Beverages Africa for 3.15 billion dollars, the two groups announced on Wednesday. Agreement was also reached on a Coca-Cola buy-back of bottling operations in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, El Salvador and Honduras, but the price of the transaction was not disclosed. Coca-Cola is scheduled to manage these operations provisionally before transferring them to a third party.
