A new generation of hotel opens in France as Pentahotels expands in Europe

The very first pentahotel in France opened in October 2016 with a big celebration in Paris, as the innovative hotel chain continues its expansion in Europe. During the celebrations, the hotel chain’s latest product innovations were also presented to the public for the first time.

Pentahotels represents a new generation of hotels. Known for its unique interior design and “neighbourhood” look and feel, the lifestyle brand pursues innovation in the upper mid-market segment.

In Belgium, Pentahotels already operates 4 hotels and the hotel chain’s Managing Director Alastair Thomann told The Brussels Times that the company is currently also looking at properties in Antwerp and Brügge. In addition, it also plans on opening a new pentahotel by the Brussels Airport this year. In its Brussels hotels, around 70% of the guest come for business vs. 30% tourism.

At the launching event of the new hotel in Paris, guests had the exclusive opportunity to try out the trendy new “penta PlayerPads”, which will be introduced to all 27 pentahotels around the globe this year, and check out the fashionable rooms that come equipped with unique features like pinball machines and Playstation 4 consoles.

The launch of pentahotel in Paris also revealed the new Global Design of the innovative lifestyle hotel brand, shown in a mock-up room and in parts of the hotel’s public areas.

The new design will be standard to all new pentahotels worldwide this year. And the conferencing area also presents a brand innovation called the “penta ThinkTank”, which sets the track to a new complete conferencing experience.

With these remarkable steps on the horizon, Managing Director Alastair Thomann was delighted to announce the brand’s impressive expansion plans: “It is our aim to expand the pentahotel brand to 80 hotels by 2020. With our new generation of ‘neighbourhood-lifestyle’ hotels, introducing our new Global Design and the launch of two exciting innovations in rooms and conferencing, we again have created something truly outstanding in the international upper mid-market hotel segment. This is only the beginning of exciting times and a very successful future.”
