The growth of the Belgian economy will reach 1.6% in 2017 and 2018, the Planning Bureau said in a statement on Thursday. “The European economic situation is now more robust than expected after the referendum on the Brexit”. In both years, growth will be driven mainly by personal consumption and business investment, and employment will increase by 105,000 units. As for inflation, there will be a slowdown in 2018.
