Belfius made 335 million euros profit in the first semester of 2018 (after tax), the bank announced on Friday.
Belfius once again intends to give the Belgian authorities a temporary payment of 100 million euros, compared to 75 million euros in the first semester of 2017.
“The 2018 results show how financially stable Belfius is. Despite the persistent low interest and the volatile market, the bank has seen growth in practically every key area. This shows, once again, how valuable Belfius is to the Belgian economy”.
