Ryanair lowers its annual profit target following several strike actions

Airline company Ryanair said Monday that it lowered its annual profit target, due to the impact of the series of strikes launched this summer by its pilots and cabin crews in several European countries. The Irish low-cost carrier now expects a net profit between 1.10 and 1.20 billion euros for the 2018-2019 financial year (completed end of March), against a previous estimate of 1.25 to 1.35 billion, according to a press communiqué.

The results come as a sharp decline, compared to the 1.45 billion euros reached in 2017-2018.
