Zeebrugge Port registered a net increase in cargo-handling activity in 2018, its general manager, Joachim Coens, indicated on Wednesday. The port handled 40.1 million tonnes of merchandise last year, an 8% increase over the previous year, Coens said.
The increase resulted mainly from record figures for laminated products and the relaunch of transhipments of liquified natural gas after the poor results recorded in 2017.
