Flanders has concluded an agreement with telecommunications operators Proximus and Telenet for the deployment of a high-speed digital network in the region, the Flemish Government announced on Monday. The agreement is aimed at allowing Flemish businesses and households to be among world leaders in innovative digitalization.
The operators agreed to give the regional government guarantees with regard to bandwidth, coverage, opening and equitable prices. The Flemish Government, for its part, is to provide the conditions that will facilitate delivery on these commitments.
