On Wednesday, RSC Anderlecht and FPS Interior Football Committee discussed the celebrations by Belgian champion supporters, last May. According to the Brussels-based club, the information published in the press isn’t entirely true: “the amount of information provided is inaccurate and the reasons why it was released are unclear”.
“The club will always support fans with a positive attitude. That's why it took the initiative to appeal to official authorities.
On its website, the Football Committee announced that it would publish on Wednesday a statement relating the true circumstances of events”.
On Wednesday, a few media reported some testimonials from fans claiming to have been heavily fined and banned from stadiums for invading the pitch, after the match against Lokeren, which gave Anderlecht players their 33rd Belgian championship victory, last May.
