The Spanish Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes has been lent to Standard until the end of the season, the Liège club announced on Sunday.

As long as Victor Valdes passes some medical exams, the Spanish goalkeeper, Standard and Manchester United have reached an agreement.

“Victor Vales, 34, joined the Barcelona FC training centre La Masia in 1995, before starting his professional career with the Catalan club in 2002. Before joining Manchester United in January 2015 after a severe knee injury, he played 535 matches (all competitions included) with Blaugrana, between 2002 and 2014. He has an impressive track record: 6 Liga, 2 Spanish cups, 2 Champions League, 2 European Supercups, and 2 World Club cups”, Standard said in a press release. Valdes has only played 2 matches for Manchester United.

Victor Valdes has been selected for the Spanish national team 20 times since 2010, and was part of the team that won the World Cup and the Euro in 2010.
