Vincent Kompany will not take part in Euro 2016. The Red Devils and Manchester City captain made the announcement on his Facebook page on Saturday evening.
Vincent Kompany was injured while playing for Manchester City in the Champions League semi-finals, against Real Madrid. He left the pitch after 9 minutes. This is the fifth time this season he has not finished a match due to injury.
“I am going to miss the Euro. Very sad news”, said Vincent Kompany.
Federal selector Marc Wilmots will reveal his selection for the Euro on Thursday the 12th of May. The Red Devils will play against Italy on the 13th of June.
