Kevin De Bruyne beats Eric Cantona’s assists record

Belgian international midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (26 years old), who scored 8 goals in 36 matches in the Premier League this season, played the 100th match of his career in the English championship on Sunday. Playing for Manchester City against Huddersfield Town (0-0), he was unable to score a goal or help one of his teammates to find the net, but, all the same, he now has the record for the largest number of decisive assists after 100 Premier League games.

The Red Devil player is the League’s best passer, delivering 43 assists, including 15 this season, as against Cantona’s 39, Mesut Özil’s 36, Nani’s 34 and Juan Mata’s 31 after the same number of matches.
