Eden Hazard named Best Premier League player for September

Eden Hazard has been named Premier League (the top English football league) Player of the month for September. Last month, the Red Devils captain scored five goals for Chelsea: Three against Cardiff and one each against Bournemouth and Liverpool.

Hazard was chosen over five other nominees: Willy Boly (Wolverhampton), Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal), James Madison (Leicester), Gylfi Sigurdsson (Everton) and Raheem Sterling (Manchester City). The votes were awarded by a panel of experts, Premier League captains and supporters. This is the second time Hazard has been named Player of the month: the first time was in October 2016.

The title of Best manager was given to Portuguese Nuno Esprito Santo. The Wolverhampton manager has got his team into 7th place in eight days, despite them only being promoted this season. The Wolves, Leander Dendoncker’s team, currently have three wins and one draw, with tree clean-sheets.
