Proximus wants to focus more on women's sports in response to the growing interest on its platforms. In addition to the elite, the telecom company wants to support young and promising sports.

The new Alpha motorhomes Cycling Team and the "World At Our Feet Plan" of the Belgian Football Union are part of this strategy.

Proximus is committed for three years as sponsor of the Proximus Alpha motorhomes Cycling Team. This team of 32 young cyclists (20 men, 12 women) was presented on Wednesday. With its new partner Proximus, the team wants to take the next step in its 4th cyclocross season. The Proximus-Alphamotorhomes cyclocross racers will participate in all phases of the Superprestige and DVV Insurance Trophy.

On Tuesday the Belgian Football Union presented its "World At Our Feet Plan," a programme designed to boost and further professionalize women's football in Belgium. Proximus announced on Wednesday that it will partner this project. Again, it will not only be to support the elite but also the young and promising in amateur clubs and on school teams. Reports and interviews broadcast on Pickx, special events and tournaments will be Proximus’ vehicles to further highlight women's football and the Red Flames.
