The Belgian tour operator Thomas Cook will temporarily impose the presence of at least two crew members in the cockpit of its planes at all times. This is to avoid another airplane tragedy like the crash of the Germanwings flight between Barcelona and Dusseldorf, the VRT reported on Friday. The plane crashed in the French Alps. A steward or stewardess will now be present in the cockpit if one of the pilots is absent, so there are always two people in the cockpit.

Jetairfly and Brussels Airines have not yet changed their rules.

The actions of the co-pilot of the Germanwings A320 have led to several airlines imposing the presence of two crew members in the cockpit during the entire flight on Thursday. The co-pilot of the Germanwings plane stopped the captain retaking command of the controls, and voluntarily made the plane dive before it crashed on Tuesday.
