Paris attacks - 17 victims' families to lodge complaint against state of Belgium

Seventeen victims' families of the November 13th attacks will now lodge a complaint in the Belgian courts. The French radio station RTL released the news this morning. These families are accusing the state of Belgium of not having taken the requisite steps to avoid the attacks, which occurred in Paris on November 13th, 2015.

The victims' families are indeed accusing the state of Belgium of failures in the  surveillance of the brothers Brahim and Salah Abdeslam, whilst the Belgian intelligence services had information which should have put them on alert about them, adds RTL.

The French station goes on to say that the substance of this complaint is based upon a report by Committee P (the standing police monitoring committee) which highlighted failings in the surveillance of several individuals implicated in the preparation and/or carrying out the Paris attacks.
