During Euro 2016, alcohol consumption amongst children was a chronic problem.
In one event in three, young adolescents had imbibed alcohol, so the results from the FPS Public Health reported yesterday evening (Monday) by VTM Nieuws.
There will be consequently more checks during the Brussels Summer Festival and events in towns and cities. Of the 5,000 alcohol tests forecast this year, a quarter will take place over summer. Currently there are 22 inspectors in post but the FPS Public Health is urgently seeking twelve additional staff members.
