There were no Belgians amongst the victims currently identified. This follows the earthquake which shook central Italy during the night of Tuesday through to Wednesday.
An on-site foreign affairs spokesman indicated this to the Belga press agency, citing the Belgian embassy. At present, the provisional death toll stands at least at 60 but is expected to rise.
