Queen Paola loses her last brother

Prince Antonello Ruffo di Calabria, brother to Queen Paola, has died in Rome at the age of 87. VRT reported on the story on Sunday, quoting Italian papers who wrote about his death on Saturday.

Queen Paola was the youngest of seven children. She had three brothers and three sisters. Now Antonello has died, Paola is the only one left alive. She will be 80 on the 11th of September.

Antonello is described as having been passionate about travelling and art. He founded the first bird sanctuary in Italy, Selva di Paliano. Italian media said he was the first aristocrat to go to Cuba after the revolution in the 50s.
