Urban Trail: Run through the Royal Palace this Sunday in Brussels

Brussels will host the Urban Trail on Sunday, a running event which passes by a range of notable buildings in Brussels, including the Royal Palace.

4,000 participants are expected to begin the trail at Place de la Monnaie on Sunday, and they can chose a 7 km or 12 km course. Both trails start and finish at Place de la Monnaie.

The passage through the Royal Palace, including administrative residence and main workshop of King Philippe, and promises to be the highlight of the trail. The Royal Palace will open exclusively for runners on Sunday.

Other key passages include passing through the Comic Book Museum, the balcony of the City Hall, the Printing House at the National Bank and the Cinema Palace.

Runners on the 7 km trail will get the opportunity to explore the Parliament of the Brussels-Capital region. Participants of the 12km race will pass through Parc Egmont as well as legendary electronic club, Fuse, in the Marolles.

The event kicks off at 09:00 on Sunday. Online registration mandatory and available until Saturday.
