The Citadel Medieval Festival, which celebrated its 20th anniversary, attracted some 10,000 spectators on Saturday and Sunday in Namur, the Citadel Animation Committee (CAC) in charge of the organisation said on Monday.

The medieval fair, a biannual event, had not taken place since 2018 due to the pandemic. With 10,000 spectators, it has now regained its former affluence, according to the Belga News Agency.

No less than 500 artists and re-enactors from Belgium and all over Europe were present for the occasion. The program revolved around the reconstruction of a village from the Middle Ages.
