PhotoBrussels Festival returns to the capital for a month

The seventh edition of the PhotoBrussels Festival will feature 35 photography exhibitions in the Belgian capital from 26 January to 26 February.

For one month, Brussels will become a photography hub, with more than 200 artists exhibited in over 30 locations, according to the festival’s programme and participants’ list, presented on Thursday at the Hangar gallery.

The aim of the PhotoBrussels Festival is to promote the exchange of ideas between amateurs and professionals through meetings, conferences, workshops and guided tours.

Some exhibitions, like Mirror of Self at the Hangar, combine the work of several artists. In this collective presentation, 23 artists question and confront themselves.

The festival offers a mixture of venues, including large cultural institutions such as Wiels, Foundation A and the Jewish Museum of Belgium, and smaller galleries such as Atelier Contraste, Inside-out and Stieglitz 19.

Information on the participating venues, their exhibitions and events is available on the event’s website.
