A candidate for MR who is standing in the federal elections in Brussels is under investigation for alleged domestic abuse.
Bryan Singa-Boyenge, the sixth alternate candidate on the MR federal list in Brussels, is currently embroiled in a domestic violence investigation.
The initial complaint was lodged by a former partner at the police services in the western area of Walloon Brabant (Tubize).
The alleged victim reportedly revealed repeated acts of violence, beginning in January 2024, according to a source close to the investigation.
During her testimony, the woman detailed physical assaults, spitting, insults and the alleged dissemination of naked videos of her by Singa-Boyenge.
Confirming the accusation, a spokesperson for the prosecutor of Walloon Brabant said an official inquiry was opened on Tuesday.
Recently, another woman has also come forward with similar accusations against Singa-Boyenge, lodging a complaint with the Brussels police.
Singa-Boyenge unreachable for an immediate comment when contacted by the Belga News Agency.
