On Thursday morning, a woman was stabbed at Tournai's railway station.
Shortly before 7:20 am, Wallonia's emergency services were alerted that a person had been the victim of a knife attack in the tunnel beneath the station's rails.
According to Belga News Agency, the woman was stabbed in the neck by her former partner in the tunnel that connects Boulevard Eisenhower to the station.

A security perimeter was swiftly established around the station after two ambulances and an emergency medical service were rushed to the area.
The assailant's motive, as well as the victim's current condition, are not yet known.
