The Brussels Fire Brigade prevented a boat from sinking on Sunday evening as they guided the vessel to safety at a dock in the municipality of Anderlecht, also managing to save a dog that was on board.
The boat was loaded with heavy steel coils and was transporting the sick pet in a car, with the intention of bringing him to a vet, when the crew discovered a leak.
The Brussels Fire Brigade subsequently intervened at around midnight by pumping out the water, before temporarily sealing the breach. They also managed to transport the dog back to shore.
