The sky will quickly become very cloudy from the south on Saturday morning, eventually followed by periods of rain or showers, with a risk of localised thunderstorms.
However, temperatures will peak between 12°C in the Hautes-Fagnes and 17 or 18°C in Campine. A mild to moderate wind is expected from the south to the southeast, says the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) forecast.
Saturday evening will continue with rainfall, showers and the possibility of localised thunderstorms in some areas. But the weather will change throughout the night to clearing skies with a chance of sunshine.
Still, the sky is expected to remain cloudy to the south of the Sambre-et-Meuse line and visibility may often be limited in the Ardennes. The minimum temperature will range from 4 to 8°C, with a mild to occasionally moderate southwest wind.
In Brussels, while Saturday will be rainy, Sunday is expected to be mostly dry.
Sunday will begin with overcast conditions, especially to the south of the Sambre-et-Meuse line where the air will be often foggy. Later in the day, the sky will alternate between changeable to very cloudy, with a chance of local showers primarily to the south of Sambre-et-Meuse.
Maximum temperatures will range between 13 to 15°C in the Ardennes and the coastal region, and around 16 to 18°C elsewhere. A mild to moderate wind will generally blow from the west to the southwest. Further deterioration will commence during the evening or at night.
Monday is set to be largely characterised by periods of rain or showers, with a possibility of local thunderstorms. The temperatures will vary between 13 and 19°C.
Moving on to Tuesday, the possibility of showers remains, but the weather will mostly turn dry with large clearings from the northwest. The sky in the Ardennes is expected to remain fairly cloudy.
Finally, Wednesday will start with the dissipation of any lingering morning fog, and the weather will alternate between sunshine and cloudy skies.
