Fuel costs will do slightly less damage to consumers' wallets from Friday, the National Economic Affairs Department announced on Thursday.

A litre of E10 (95) petrol will cost €1.763 - down by €0.03. The cost of a litre of E5 (98) will drop by €0.014, and cost €1.846.

However, heating oil will go up slightly, although its impact on the consumer’s pocket is likely to be negligible. A litre of heating oil for orders below 2000 litres will cost €0.9197, a small increase of €0.0022. For orders exceeding this volume, each litre will cost €0.8805, up by €0.0022.

Heating diesel (H0/H7), which has replaced traditional fuel oil 50S on the market since 1 April, will reflect similar increases.

The new prices are the result of fluctuations in the valuation of petroleum products and/or their components on international markets.
