The Ministry of Economy announced on Thursday that it has closed five out of the fifteen inflatable castle parks inspected this year, following safety concerns.
Non-compliance was detected in eight of the fifteen areas evaluated. Of these, two took immediate action to remain open while five were instantly shut down. An additional park received an administrative violation warning. One operator closed ahead of the inspection to prevent any violations from being recorded.
“Given the high number of parks that have not adhered to the safety regulations, the SPF Economy will continue to monitor the situation,” said Ministry of Economy spokesperson Etienne Mignolet.
Moreover, the Ministry reminded operators that they are always held accountable for the safety of their parks, even during temporary events like fairs or neighbourhood parties. It advised anyone who encounters hazardous situations to alert the operator or lodge a complaint with the Ministry if no action is taken.
