The Neufchâteau Criminal Court on Tuesday sentenced a resident of Gouvy to 10 years' imprisonment for the rape of four persons, including his sister and an 11-year-old girl.
The case began in June 2023 with a complaint lodged by a resident of Gouvy against her 11-year-old daughter's computer teacher. The 38-year-old had been touching the girl during private lessons. The investigation subsequently identified four other victims.
When questioned about the suspect's character, the man's own sister revealed that she had been sexually abused by her brother during their childhood and adolescence. Two other women reported having been sexually abused by the suspect. One of them said he had contacted her on social networks, offering her a photo shoot.
Questioned during the investigation, the suspect admitted to certain paedophilic tendencies. In addition to videos he viewed on the Net, he had convinced a woman with whom he was chatting on social networks to send him photos of her young daughter.
In its indictment on June 27, the Luxembourg public prosecutor's office emphasized the danger posed by the accused to children and women.
"He forced women to adopt little-girl attitudes, by shaving them, asking them to call him 'daddy', to speak in a little-girl voice,"said the public prosecutor, who requested 10 years' imprisonment for the accused.
The sentence was finally pronounced on Tuesday by the court.
