A fifteen-year-old boy was shot and injured on Friday evening in Jambes, by a scooter-riding assailant who remains at large.
The incident occurred around 7 pm; the victim was sitting on a bench when the shooter, aboard a scooter, opened fire. Despite firing three times, only one bullet hit the teenager.
Following the attack, the assailant fled the scene on his scooter, subsequently colliding with a car at the intersection of Sedent street and Masuage pathway. He then abandoned the scooter, and removed its registration plates.
The victim, who was wounded in the knee, has yet to give his statement. Multiple witnesses have come forward, providing descriptions of the suspect.
The authorities are currently working to identify and apprehend him.
