A strike on Monday will cause significantly fewer buses and trams to run on the De Lijn network.

Fewer than half, roughly 45% of all buses and trams will be operational across Flanders De Lijn has announced.

The strike stems from staff dissatisfaction with what they describe as one-sided communication from management regarding annual planning and shift changes.

De Lijn has set up an alternative timetable to manage the reduced service.

In the province of Antwerp, 48% of services will run; in East Flanders, it will be 38%; in Flemish Brabant, 52%; in Limburg, 54%; and in West Flanders, only 36%.

Specifically in Antwerp city, 43% of services will operate, while in Ghent, it will be 21%, and along the coast, just 28% of trams will be running.

Passengers can find the updated timetable via the route planner on the De Lijn website and app.
