A truck driver was arrested on the A16 motorway near the Dutch city of Breda on Saturday with 50 kilograms of ketamine.
The 31-year-old Frenchman was driving a truck with Belgian license plates. He was stopped on his way to Hazeldonk in the Netherlands, the border crossing with Belgium.
The ketamine, packed in bags of 5 kg, has a street value of €1.25 million. The substance is an anaesthetic for operations. When taking it recreationally, it can cause hallucinations as a side effect.
