Suspect arrested for murder near Liège

A man has been arrested for the suspected murder of a 50-year-old whose body was found at his home in Tihange, within the Huy district, according to the Liège Public Prosecutor on Tuesday.

The lifeless body of the man, born in 1973, was discovered on Saturday, 7th December in a house on Rue des Saules, Tihange.

A suspect, born in 1980, was taken into custody and charged with murder by an investigating judge, as confirmed by the Liège Public Prosecutor on Tuesday. He has been officially detained and incarcerated.

A neighbour reported the unusual situation to the police after noticing that the bins hadn’t been brought inside for a week and the shutters remained unusually open.

The case is currently under investigation and the inquiry is ongoing.
