Customs officials seized a large shipment of cocaine on Sunday at the port area of Antwerp, announced the Ministry of Finance on Monday.
Nearly 60 kilograms of drugs were concealed in a refrigerated container from Costa Rica.
The product was seized in the Port of Waasland, a section of the Antwerp port located on the left bank of the River Scheldt.
An investigation will be launched to identify those responsible for the trafficking attempt.
The cocaine has been taken away to be destroyed.
