During the night from Saturday to Sunday, Polish and allied aircraft were deployed to defend Polish airspace following Russian airstrikes in western Ukraine, according to the Polish military command.
Air defence systems and radar units were placed on maximum alert as part of these operations.
These measures were described as preventative steps to secure airspace and protect citizens, according to a statement released on X.
